How to Enroll: Our Admissions Process
The process for enrolling at Albemarle Montessori Children’s Community is very easy. We want your experience in choosing a program for your child to be as tailored to you as our program is tailored to your child’s needs. There are three simple steps for our admissions process:
Submit an Enrollment Application. If the application is for the Toddler, Pre-Primary or Primary classes, please complete our Supplemental Application (on the back) as well. We have a one-time application fee of $25 (paid by check, cash, or our online payment portal: request.plastiq.com/pay-amcc-invoice). AMCC has no registration or administrative fees as do many other private schools and only asks for a deposit (which will be applied to your child’s tuition during the final month of their Kindergarten year). For older students we just retain a deposit of their first month’s tuition to hold the spot. Since the Montessori curriculum adapts specifically to your child, enrollment can occur at any point during the year!
Tour the Community - We would love to have you come tour our school, meet our director, and discover the *magic* of Montessori, by observing our students hard at work in the classroom! Our tours are for parents only and last about 1 hour in total. AMCC offers tours each month and they are held at 9:15am.
Student Interview - Once the above steps are taken by a family, and a space becomes available in the program, we can schedule your child to come for a student interview visit. This will be an opportunity for your precious little one to visit our Community, see the classroom, and receive some trial lessons from the Lead Guide in an environment that is comfortable and relaxing. If it looks like a good fit all around, we can proceed forward with the enrollment process!
