Annual School Calendar at AMCC

At Albemarle Montessori Children’s Community (AMCC), we offer year-round enrollment with a flexible, family-focused schedule that supports both academic consistency and seasonal breaks.

• Toddler and Primary Program: Operates continuously throughout the year (four weeks in July are optional)

• Elementary Program: Follows a ten-month academic calendar along with an optional eight-week summer program

• All-School Closure: One week in late summer for classroom preparation

Holiday & Break Closures

AMCC is closed on major federal holidays and select seasonal dates, including:

• Thanksgiving Break

• Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year’s Eve

• Two-week Winter Break (Elementary Program only)

• One-week Spring Break (Elementary Program only)
  (Toddler and Primary classrooms remain in session during these breaks)
